I've always loved clothes but I've never really been a "designer whore" (for lack of a better word). I can rhyme off a few names of designers that I like and admire their artistic creations, but I've never been one to lay down a credit card (I don't even own one!) for designer duds when I could get 5 I like just as much somewhere else! (*cough* Winners)
However last year I was introduced to Tory Burch. I realize she's been around for a few years now but to me her designs were a revelation! My first encounter was at a Tory Burch sample sale with some coworkers. Needless to say I was smitten with her bold colour combinations and unique patterns from the get-go.
I splurged on a pair of her classic ballet flats (black with gold emblem) & I'm still madly in love with them. (I'm not even a shoe person! I have about 3 pairs of heels that I rotate, so for me to love footwear this much is a big deal)
I don't want to be one of those people decked out in Tory from head-to-toe. That might look slightly ridiculous. (Unless the company is willing to endorse me for some reason ~ I'd be all over that!) Her clothing (cardigans in particular), footwear (ballet flats), bags (I SLEEP with my new clutch) & even jewellery have become quite the addiction. Don't worry Dad, I've curbed my spending considerably - an extraordinary feat when faced with T.Burch !!
... at least until next years sample sale
