Alice's Tea Cup

In light of mixed reviews, I absolutely adored the recent Alice in Wonderland 3D.  There is something utterly charming about her naive demeanour as she travels through her enchantingly eccentric world.  The Mad Hatter tea party, in particular, reminded me of a place that I must visit this summer called Alice's Tea Cup.  With custom cakes and perfectly brewed tea (3-7 minutes with double filtered water at 180 degrees) this is the perfect place for afternoon tea and a small bite to eat.  They bring out those dainty sandwich trays that you're more likely to see in England.  The best part is the Alice inspired chinaware and store layout.  Definitely on my "to do" list this summer!

Side Note: I have a secret (well not-so-secret anymore) obsession with vintage teacups and teapots.  I hope to one day (if I'm lucky enough) to have a cottage of my own to display my collection and entertain with!  There's something about a warm cup of tea that just makes you want to curl up with a good book and a big blanket for hours on end.

While on the subject of Alice in Wonderland - Awhile ago I stumbled upon this amazing editorial in Vogue, photographed by Annie Leibovitz.  I thought I'd share some of my favourite photos from the spread - they're really quite stunning.  Every time I see them it makes me want to prance around a beautiful garden with a ribbon in my hair and a couture gown while holding a flamingo in one hand and a vintage teacup in the other.  I'd never ACTUALLY follow through with this, but its a fun thought..
